Parents Involvement

Key Parent Functions

The support of parents in the education of their own children is a proven key indicator of success.

During the year there will be an evening organised for parent education.  Each year we will have a different focus which will help parents support their children.  It is expected that at least one parent or carer from each family will attend. Over your time at St Patrick’s, opportunities will be provided for you to receive input and advice on a wide variety of topics, which will be presented at these evenings. These evenings will be advertised at the start of each school year.

Parents and Friends Association

The Parents & Friends Association is one of the main avenues for parental involvement and participation in the life of the school. The purpose of this group is to raise funds and to promote social gatherings. Activities and functions are advertised through the School Newsletter and via posters displayed around the school. Parents are welcome to become involved on the committee. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month.

Assemblies

A whole school assembly is conducted each Monday at 9:00am and parents are welcome to attend.
